Firstly, congratulations on completing a skills-verified course! Now, it’s time for you to tell the world about it — with a digital badge. We’re going to break down how to collect, manage, and share the digital badges that you’ve earned — through the Badgr Backpack platform.

1. Create your account

  • You’re going to go to Canvas Badges (badgr.com) to create your account.

  • You can use a social media login (e.g. LinkedIn, Google, Facebook) or your email address. If you use email registration, you’ll receive a verification code to complete the process. Important: Create your account using the email address where you’re receiving your digital badges.

  • Once you’ve verified your email address, complete the sign-up process.

2. Accessing your account

  • Account set-up is complete when you see this page

  • Scroll all the way down to “Get Started!” and click “View Canvas Badges Backpack”

  • If you’ve already received badges from Talent, it should all be listed in the Badges Tab
  • If you don’t have any badges issued yet, your Badges Tab should look like this:

  • If you have the link to a digital badge from a different email address, click “Add Badge” and enter the Badge URL

Talent does not have access to your Backpack. If you’re missing badges, please reach out to learnersupport@talentready.ca

3. Share your digital badge on social media

  • On the badge you want to share, cllick “Share”

  • A pop-up window will appear, and you can choose to share the badge via a link, or through your social media accounts.

  • Share to profile: This feature will allow you to add your badge to your LinkedIn profile under “Licenses and Certifications”

  • Share to feed: This feature allows you to share your badge to your social media feed.

And you’re good to go! Having a digital badge is a recognition of your skills, achievements, and knowledge in the area. Letting others know that you possess these skills could strengthen your professional profile and support your career development in the long run. So don’t shy away from getting that digital badge up on your social profiles and tag us so we can celebrate your achievements with you!

Happy learning!
