Canada’s isotope workforce will need to increase by a third to support the new projects and expansion across the industry. By identifying the industry’s critical skills needs and working towards a targeted national workforce strategy, we can identify new opportunities for innovation in training, education, and collaboration.
In partnership with the CNIC, we have conducted an initial skills assessment for the production and processing of medical isotopes in Canada. The objective of this initial skills assessment was to identify the skills currently in highest demand in the sector and examine the availability of these skills.
